Launch-draft policy
Privacy notice
A conservative outline of the current product design, written for professional review before launch.
This is launch-draft information, not a final jurisdiction-specific privacy notice. Professional legal and operational review is still required.
What this notice covers
This launch-draft notice describes the current Squad Recap product design and technical foundation. Final controller identity, contact details, jurisdiction-specific rights, subprocessors, international-transfer language, and effective dates require professional review before launch.
Information the product is designed to handle
A creator may provide account details, recap settings, names used inside a recap, photographs, captions, memories, quotes, positive awards, and invited contributions. Operational records may include coarse security, payment, moderation, deletion, and delivery state. Squad Recap is designed not to collect a full birthdate by default.
Private drafts and customer recaps
Drafts are designed to begin private. Published customer recap pages default to unlisted and remain noindex at launch. Unlisted is not the same as secret: anyone who receives a working link may be able to open it, subject to the selected access state.
Photographs and media
The technical architecture uses private media storage, validates file type and dimensions, creates controlled derivatives, and strips GPS EXIF metadata in the validated local processing prototype. Production device-format support and operational verification remain launch-hardening work.
Contributors
The planned workflow allows recap-scoped contributors to add material without accounts. Invitation capabilities are sensitive and must not enter analytics or public pages. The creator reviews contributed material before publishing.
Privacy-conscious analytics
The analytics contract permits coarse page, CTA, recap-type, plan, and operational-state identifiers. It prohibits names, email addresses, private recap content, uploaded media URLs, invitation tokens, passwords, precise location, payment fields, and raw fingerprinting data.
Retention and deletion
The product plan uses limited guest and inactive-draft windows and includes deletion orchestration. Exact notices, exceptions, legal holds, payment-record treatment, backup behavior, and production retention schedules require final legal and operational review before launch.
Choices, reporting, and access
The launch product is intended to provide reporting and deletion paths without requiring a public profile. Final procedures for access, correction, deletion, objections, appeals, identity verification, and response timing must be completed before production launch.
Ages 13+
Squad Recap is planned for ages 13 and older. Final age assurance, consent, parental, and geographic availability requirements require professional review. The product should avoid collecting more age information than necessary.
